I design and build software whose important assumptions can be stated clearly and checked.
I build software myself and use formal models where they help. AI can speed up implementation, but I still want a way to tell whether a change preserves the properties I care about.
Selected work
Heuron and its research successor ParaForge explore typed descriptions of neural networks. Compass grew out of work with formal models and coding agents in large codebases.
